The network consists of over 57 miles (92 km) of track, making it the largest tram system in the United Kingdom and second only to the London Underground in terms of an urban commuter network. As of 2015, upon the completion of Exchange Square tram stop in Manchester city centre, the Metrolink system has 93 stops.

The Metrolink at Manchester Airport is the tram line which provides connections throughout Greater Manchester. The Metrolink station is located within the train station; only a short walk between all three terminals. For further information on tram services and timetables please see TFGM
